At Latting Speed Shop we like to recommend custom steel and titanium for a host of reasons, such as a better fit or a one of a kind custom finish, but there’s a whole lot more. In a world that is increasingly transactional, working with small, family-owned fabricators is a relationship experience. These builders know your name and your needs from the very beginning of the process. Every tube, every angle, and the bike’s finish has been picked just for you. No one sat in a boardroom and decided what would sell the most units this year. They listen and then, with their expertise, produce a hand built bike frame just for you.

Mosaic Bicycles - Boulder, CO 

We are so proud to now offer Mosaic Bicycles to our line of custom offerings at Latting Speed Shop. Mosaic is a small, family owned operation in Boulder, CO that has produced some of the best fitting, best performing, and frankly, best looking titanium frames in the world.

Every frameset can be custom finished and built with either stock or custom geometry. Mosaic offers traditional and fully integrated cable routing on their road, all road, and gravel frames. Raw, brushed, or painted titanium -- the choice is yours. All custom frames come with your choice of finish. If you really want to get crazy, you can choose from the Artist Series or create your own one-of-a kind scheme. All of this in a surprisingly short ~six week turn around time.

Stinner Frameworks - Santa Barbara, CA

Santa Barbara's Stinner Frameworks is also new to Latting Speed Shop. We love that they build both steel and titanium frames for road and gravel. The entire staff at Stinner is a whopping five people! We just can't say enough about their level of communication and desire to deliver a perfect frame.

While the stock frames are more race-oriented, Stinner is happy to offer custom geometry for all of their models. All of their frames feature hidden cable routing and a custom paint finish. The website offers a custom paint widget that lets you figure out exactly what you want, while also being fun to play around with whether you’re buying a bike or not. With eleven paint schemes and countless paint options, you will have your work cut out for you making a choice. Expect a six week turn around on one of these as well.
